U.S. News and World Report’s recently-released 2018-2019 “Best Hospitals” annual report ranks 3 Louisville hospitals as “high performing”, while the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center was named best in the Commonwealth with 4 specialties ranked in the top 50 nationally.

Of the 120 Kentucky hospitals evaluated, 6 received a ranking by U.S. News, while one facility received national rankings in 4 specialties.
University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital earned the biggest accolades in Kentucky.
Following UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington is Baptist Health Lexington, #2 in Kentucky.

Baptist Health Louisville is the first Louisville hospital to be recognized in the report, coming in at #3 Kentucky, and #1 in Louisville.
Although not nationally ranked in any specialty, it did receive recognition as “high performing” in 7 procedures/conditions:
Norton Hospital Louisville is ranked #4 in Kentucky, and #2 in Louisville.

Norton Children’s Hospital is ranked #1 children’s hospital in Kentucky, and is nationally ranked in pediatric diabetes and endocrinology.
