Sista Strut Breast Cancer Walk

Becker Law Office was happy to once again participate in the Annual Sista Strut Walk. The Sista Strut was a multi-site event over the course of a week! We were proud to participate and continue our support of the community.

The Risks

African American women are 40% more likely to die from breast cancer at certain ages that Caucasian women.
Black women younger than 40 are more likely to get breast cancer than white women.

 

What can be done?

Promote  Awareness – Becker Law Office participates each year in the fundraising and support of the Sista Strut Walk.

Promote Regular exercise, no we don’t mean that you need to join an athletic team but, a brisk walk 3-4 times a week can actually make a difference.

Avoid exposure to environmental factors such as radiation or pollutants.

Avoid smoking – it’s more than just your lungs that you are protecting here.
